Occasionally, we discover an artist - or, rather, they discover us - whose music we instantaneously connect with, forever forging a lasting and loyal bond. And when such an artist does come along they forever remain a part of our listening repertoire, like a good friend to whom we can always turn. Alex de Grassi, Windham Hill's premiere guitar icon, is one of those artists.

From the moment he discovered the guitar at age 13 to the recording of his first record with Windham Hill (Turning: Turning Back, 1978) to his Grammy nomination, de Grassi has gently carved out a career as one of today's greatest technical wizards of the guitar.
