For a follow up to his acclaimed debut on Favored Nations, 2001's solo instrumental recording Intuite, French acoustic fingerstyle guitar virtuoso Pierre Bensusan has put together Altiplanos, a 10th solo solo album, recorded with his new custom model created for him by California luthier Kevin Ryan. This new album showcases a varied program of gorgeous vocal numbers, provocative improvised pieces, intimate ballads and strikingly original composed works.

There's a story behind each tune. And each performance by Bensusan is brimming with passion and grace, along with some of the most dazzling fingerstyle acoustic guitar playing on the planet. While Intuite may have been a triumphant tour de force for the French-Algerian virtuoso, he takes it up a notch on his latest offering for Favored Nations.
