VIVA FLAMENCO! - the highly-anticipated sequel to FLAMENCO FIRE AND GRACE - captures the spirit of Andalusia with vivid and daring performances by the masters of traditional flamenco guitar including Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Gerardo Núñez, Pepe Habichuela, Chuscales and many more.

About some of the guitar masters featured on VIVA FLAMENCO!

Tomatito

Tomatito is more than just one of the foremost modern-day flamenco performers he has Flamenco in his bloodlines and carries with him its deep-rooted tradition. Raised on flamenco the way most are raised on food and water, Tomatito watched his father, grandfather and uncle - all Andalusian traditionalists - turn sparks to flame using nothing more than a guitar and passion.

Pepe Habichuela

Family ties bind more than just human to human - it links spirit to art. Pepe Habichuela is a perfect example. Born in Granada, Habichuela was raised on the guitar, following the teachings handed down from his grandfather, father and each one of his brothers. For him, flamenco guitar is a lifeline connecting family heritage, artistic expression and most importantly, duende

Diego Carrasco

Born in Jerez, a town steeped in Flamenco and sherry wine, Diego Carrasco was the son of a family of Flamenco musicians based in the Gypsy Barrio de Santiago quarter.

His study of guitar was under the eccentric, bohemian guidance of Raphael Del Aguila. This learned expertise led him to play for such renowned bailaores (flamenco dancers) as Antonio Gades, La Tolea, Christina Hoyes and Lola Flores - inspiring them with his rhythmic spontaneity.
