About the Artist

Jo Blankenburg is a composer and pianist from Germany now living in New Zealand. Although his compositions cover a wide spectrum of genres, his main emphasis is film music. The interaction between acoustic and visual elements is the inspiring source for Jo. While in film scoring the images and pictures of a movie initiate the flow of ideas for dramaturgic compositions, with Floatovations, Jo's intention is to evoke visualizations in the mind of the listener.
