About the Artist

John Renbourn has long been regarded as one of the world's greatest acoustic guitarists. "I never really set out to be a guitar player - I play the guitar because if I want to work out an arrangement, it is simply the easiest way to do it. But even in the years that I spent with Pentangle, a lot of my enjoyment was in arranging the parts, in giving the music a cohesion. And that's what interests me now, more than anything else.
