Description

Sentient Spirit Records 7674 ▪ Released 2004

Tranquil piano combined with a tapestry of shimmering acoustic and ambient instrumentation takes you on an exquisite journey of America’s most mystical, sacred and enchanting places.

Each piece is Laura’s original composition, except an arrangement of L.V. Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, lushly orchestrated with piano and strings. Inspired by America’s most magical and sacred sites, this album consists of four song collections:

1) Magical Creations: with songs for America’s Stonehenge and its shadows of the Druids in Salem Massachusetts, Chaco Canyon and the Anasazi culture of New Mexico, and the miraculous Coral Castle in south Florida.

2) Sacred Symbols: with songs about the sacred Bighorn Medicine Wheel in Wyoming, Tongass Island’s Totem Poles in Alaska, and the mysterious Serpent Effigy Mound in Ohio.

3) Mysterious Messages: with songs influenced by the fascinating Red Rock Ridge Petroglyphs of Jeffers Minnesota, the ghostly Pictograph Caves of Montana, and the Heavener Runestone of Oklahoma.

4) Nature’s Splendor, with songs dedicated to beautiful Sedona Arizona, the Hawaiian Islands and their fires within, and Laura’s favorite, beloved and majestic Mt. Shasta of Northern California.
