About the Artists

Michael Sullivan, Sr. is an enrolled member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe tribe in northern Wisconsin where he was born and raised. He currently resides in the Whitefish community with his wife Krysten and their children. He is the proud father of three children, Niizhoo, Mani, and Lexie. His children are his pride and joy and he enjoys teaching them about singing and dancing.

Opie Day-Bedeau is a member of the Bois Fort Band of Minnesota Chippewas but grew up in the metro area of St. Paul and Minneapolis. He is the son of Joseph Bedeau (Leech Lake) and Charlene Day (Bois Forte). He has been singing since he was a young boy and enjoys it just as much today as he did then. Undoubtedly one of the most recognizable voices in Pow-Wow music today, Opie has carried his unique sound and style of singing across the United States and Canada.
