About the Artist

From Lawrence, Kansas, Tha Tribe is at the top of today’s contemporary pow-wow scene. Comprised of singers from diverse tribal backgrounds, Tha Tribe have forged a singing style all their own. Founded by Wayne Silas, Jr. this group continues to bridge the two disparate worlds like no other pow-wow group can. Tha Tribe is a multi-Nammy (Native American Music Award) nominee most recently receiving a double nomination for Group of the Year and Best Pow-Wow Album “Best of Both Worlds-World One”, in 2005.
